Stylin’ in the Snow

December 19, 2012 by Sara

While many of you have been experiencing winter for some time now, we here on the west coast just got our first taste! Yesterday we had our first snow fall that stuck, and apart from the delays and traffic snaggles that ensued, it was really, really pretty! I’m originally from Alberta, so the winters here in BC seem pretty mild even at the worst of times, but that doesn’t make them any less lovely!

One of my favourite things to do on boxing day is play out in the front yard with my dogs, creating snow angels and throwing snow balls while skillfully avoiding “lemon snow”, as we’ve dubbed it. I’m never properly prepared for the cold weather though, and am seriously lacking in snow-appropriate attire, so most years I don Jer’s giant insulated work coveralls and strap on his work boots for warm and uninterrupted play in the sparkly white cold stuff. However, I did some planning ahead this year and put some cold weather must-haves on my Christmas wish list that will no doubt come in handy this Boxing day. Here are some winter worthy pieces to get you through the snowy season while making you look cute, too.

I have a little something to confess, after seeing those boots online I splurged a little and bought them! And yes, they are just as awesome as you think. :)

    1. We have been dressing our pups in a variety of snoods, but I do keep looking for one for myself. And I have to agree, it’s worth it to splurge for a cute snow boot and coat. I rationalize that it’s what I’ll be wearing for an entire 6ish months.
